Serie TT (Precision System)

Serie TT (Precision System)

The linear axes of the TT series are mainly used for high-precision positioning within a range of 23 µm with a repeat accuracy of 5 µm. The linear guides of this series, which are made of very torsion-resistant anodized aluminum extrusions, were developed for high loads and precise movements that are required, for example, in machine tools and demanding machine design.

All mounting surfaces and reference points have been designed to significantly reduce all deviations (yaw, pitch and roll) along the entire path. The carriage designed for heavy loads is equipped with a ball screw with a preloaded screw (accuracy grade C5 or C7), and the payload is supported by a system of four LM blocks mounted on two parallel LM guides. High speeds can be achieved using special screws with extra large lead.

The TT Series has all the characteristics necessary for easy mounting of multi-axis systems. All TT Series units are 100% tested and supplied with an accuracy certificate.

Base plate and carriage made of aluminium: The base plate and carriages of the Rollon linear axis of the TT series were developed and built in cooperation with leading companies in the industry. The anodized extrusion profiles show high precision and very good mechanical properties. The dimensions are tolerated according to EN 755-9. The material used is the aluminium alloy 6060. On the outside of the extrusion profiles are grooves for easy and quick mounting and/or fixing of accessories.
Carriage: The carriages of the Rollon linear axis of the TT series are made of anodised aluminium and form the interface between the linear unit and the user's adjacent construction. Two profile rails arranged in parallel with two or four preloaded linear carriages ensure that high forces and high load moments are reliably supported. The linear carriages are also equipped with a ball chain. The following characteristics are achieved with the above described guidance system:

 • High running parallelism
 • High positioning accuracy
 • High load ratings and high rigidity
 • Low wear and tear
 • Low displacement resistance

Drive system: Rollon TT Series linear axes use precision-rolled ball screws with preloaded or non-preloaded nuts. The standard precision class for the ball screws used is ISO 7, but ISO 5 precision class is also available on request. The ballscrews of the linear axes are available with different diameters and pitches. With the technology described above, the following characteristics are achieved:

 • High speeds (for ball screws with large lead)
 • High feed forces
 • High accuracy
 • High mechanical performance
 • Low wear and tear
 • Low displacement resistance

Cover: The Rollon linear axes of the TT series are equipped with cover tapes to protect the mechanical components from contamination.
In addition, both the recirculating ball guides and the ball screws are equipped with wipers or seals that act directly on the ball tracks.
