Cage nuts usually consist of a square nut which is enclosed in a cage made of bleach. Within this cage the nut is movable and allows you to compensate for certain tolerances. Cage nuts are usually clipped into the carrier material by hand and "blindly". Since access is often only possible from one side, assembly is carried out "blind".
