Sliding doors
Sliding doors offer many advantages compared to normal swing doors. They save space, as no swing area has to be taken into account, they can be installed in such a way that they are hardly visible, and they can also be used almost anywhere. The preferred style and the appropriate material are individually different - the choice is wide.
However, what needs to be optimally adapted for a smooth application is the associated linear product-guide. This refers to a mechanical component that is used to control motion while meeting various requirements, such as load-bearing capacity or corrosion resistance. Since requirements vary across industries, HA-CO offers specific solutions for all needs.

- Vehicle doors: streetcar, subway, funicular, cable car cabins, etc.
- Machine cladding: eg. robot housing

Our range of linear guides: What should be used for what?
Compact Rail from Rollon: Not without reason one of the best-selling linear guidance systems in our range. It offers very quiet running characteristics coupled with high load capacities, making it ideal for very heavy doors. There are only a few products with comparable quality.
Linear motion PSG: Thanks to the internal raceways, our proprietary development is extremely dirt-resistant and remains rust-free even after years of use. The PSG guide is optimal for outdoor applications and can easily withstand high temperatures (e.g. fireplace stoves).
Kugelumlaufführung HAA0116RC: The guide with aluminum rails and recirculating ball bearing offers the possibility of reliably moving loads weighing up to 360 kg (e.g. door leaves, machine components, machine cladding).
Recirculating ball bearing guide HAA0115: The linear guide with recirculating ball bearing carriage is corrosion-resistant and is primarily suitable for lighter doors weighing up to 130 kg.
Roller guide X-Rail: If a favorable price-performance ratio and high resistance to corrosion are required in particular, the low-cost X-Rail guideways are ideal for this purpose. The modular system is available from stock in five sizes and is therefore versatile.
What to look for?
- Both roller and recirculating ball bearing guides can be used as guideways
- In some cases, additional support wheels must be mounted as a guide aid
- External end stops are important, which must be attached to the outside of the door (e.g. rubber stoppers).
- Combinations, such as that of a guide rail with other rails (e.g. telescopic rails) are quite possible
