Thread inserts for press-in

Press-fit parts can be pressed in cold and warm or embedded with ultrasound. Which method is used depends on the type of application and choice of plastic. For warm embedding, the thread insert should heat the plastic, but not melt it. This prevents burr formation at the interface between insert and material.
For reinforcing holes in plastics, porous materials by hot or cold pressing as well as ultrasonic embedding.
Information on thermal presses can be requested separately. With ultrasonic embedding, low frequencies are recommended to heat the plastic.
