Serie TV (Precision System)

The linear units of the TV series have a torsion-resistant profile made of anodised, extruded aluminium with a square cross-section (rectangular for the TV 140 size). Motion is transmitted by a ball screw drive of accuracy class C5 or C7.

The payload is supported by a double LM block and single LM guide (double LM block/double guide system for size TV 140), which guarantees high precision and stability.

The self-supporting proﬁle used for the Rollon linear unit of the TV Series has been designed and built in collaboration with leading companies in the industry to obtain an extrusion product of the highest precision with excellent mechanical properties. The material used is the aluminium alloy designated 6060, with dimensional tolerances in accordance with EN 755-9. The extruded Proﬁle are also provided with lateral grooves to facilitate and speed up assembly.

Drive system: The Rollon linear unit of the TV series is driven by rolled ball screws. Various diameters and pitches are available (see tables at specifications). The standard precision class is ISO 7 with non-preloaded screw. Precision class ISO 5 with preloaded screw is available on request. By using the ball recirculation technology it is possible to obtain the following performances:

High speeds (with spindle with large pitch)
High feed forces
High accuracy
High mechanical performance
Low wear and tear
Low displacement resistance.

Carriage: The carriage of the Rollon linear unit of the TV series is made of anodised aluminium. The dimensions vary depending on the model. The carriage is mounted on two preloaded recirculating ball carriages, each running on a guide rail. The TV 140 unit has two guide rails and four ball carriages to accommodate higher dynamic, static and moment loads.

Cover: Rollon linear units of the TV series are equipped with a steel cover strip that protects the internal components (recirculating ball bearing guide and ball screws) from influences from the outside. A plastic deflector presses the cover tape against a magnetic strip, resulting in extremely low abrasion values. In model TV 140 the cover strip is a belt made of black polyurethane, which is guided in its path by roller bearings. For critical operating conditions, the recirculating ball carriages can be equipped with double front seals and special wipers.
