Linear unit axis Rollon ECO - HA-CO Switzerland

ECO (Eco System)

The linear axes of the Eco System product family consist of a self-supporting extruded aluminium profile and a drive by a steel-reinforced toothed belt made of polyurethane with AT tooth profile. Three different sizes are available: 60, 80 and 100 mm. The series is available with recirculating ball bearing guide or track roller guide. The reduced weight is achieved by the lightweight frame and aluminium runners.

The Eco System linear units are offered with two guide systems:

  • ECO SYSTEM – SP Inside the aluminium profile there is a low-maintenance recirculating ball linear guide
  • ECO SYSTEM – CI Four bearings with gothic track profile, guided on two round bars of hardened steel, which are mortised inside the aluminium profile

Aluminium profile: The self-supporting profile used in the linear units of the ECO series have been designed and constructed in collaboration with a manufacturer in this sector so that anodized precision extruded profiles with high mechanical properties and high moments of inertia per unit area could be realized. The material used consists of anodized aluminium made of alloy 6060, the dimensions are tolerated according to EN 755-9. On the outside of the extruded profiles are also grooves for quick and easy installation and for fixing accessories.

Power transmission belts: The linear units of the ECO series use steel-reinforced polyurethane timing belts with AT-tooth profile. This toothed belt type has proven to be the most suitable for drive transmission in linear units with regard to permissible drive torques, compactness and noise development. The combination with zero backlash timing belt pulleys thus enables alternating loads without backlash. The following properties can be achieved by utilising the maximum timing belt width specified by the profile and setting an optimum belt pre-tension:

  • High travel speeds
  • Low noise emission
  • Low wear and tear

The drive belt runs in guide grooves at the top of the aluminium profile and thus covers the drive or guide system in the tailrace profile.

Carriage: The carriage of the linear units of the ECO series is made of anodised aluminium. Carriages are available in two lengths for each type of linear unit. T-slots are provided on the top of the carriage for easy mounting of the user's adjacent construction.
